NBA Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns Same Game Parlay picks: Thompson makes a splash at +767 odds
Many before the season would not have been surprised if we saw the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns taking each other on deep in the NBA Playoffs. For one reason or another, both have looked off pace so far this year, ranking 9th and 11th in the Western Conference, respectively. Tonight will be a great opportunity to remind people on a national stage that they are still serious contenders this season.
You can see all of our NBA previews here. But for now, check out my Warriors/Suns same Game parlay below.
Golden State Warriors ML (+132)
Klay Thompson to score 25+ points (+500)
Parlay odds: +767
Golden State Warriors ML (+132)
The Phoenix Suns have not been in the greatest form lately, losing their last 2 games heading into tonight encounter against the Golden State Warriors. Surprisingly they have been far from impressive at home this season, with just 5 wins from 11 games. Their chances of improving on that could be hindered tonight with Kevin Durant questionable to play. And while Bradley Beal is back for the team from injury, do not be surprised if he is rusty. It should give the visiting Warriors a great chance tonight.
The Phoenix Suns have mostly struggled stopping teams this season, ranking 17th in defensive rating. They have also had issues with turnovers, ranking 24th in turnover percentage over the last 10 games. Incorporating what will feel like a new addition to the team in Beal is unlikely to help matters. He is not someone that will help much defensively either. As a result, do not be surprised to see Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson put together big performances here, carrying the visitors to a win.
Klay Thompson to score 25+ points (+500)
The last time Klay Thompson faced off against the Suns, he dropped 23 points in just under 25 minutes of action. In the last 6 games he has played in since he last faced the Suns, he has only had 1 more efficient shooting night that he did then. Considering that was in his last appearance, he could be set to have a big performance tonight. It should help that he is playing on the road tonight too. On the season his 3-point percentage is 10.5% higher on the road compared to home while his field goal percentage increases by 14.8%. With increased playing time as opposed to his last game against the Suns, he could have one of the better scoring games of his season tonight.
It is likely that he will be picked up by either Bradley Beal or Devin Booker tonight, with the Suns more defensive options like Josh Okogie turning their attention to Stephen Curry. With the pair of Suns stars far more interested in what they do offensively, do not be surprised to see them lose track of Thompson several times tonight. Look for one of the greatest shooters in NBA History to make them pay for it.
