Gordon Hayward injury update: Hornets forward out indefinitely with fractured shoulder; wife calls out team

The Charlotte Hornets will be without forward Gordon Hayward due to a fractured shoulder, his agent told ESPN on Friday. Hayward is out indefinitely and will be evaluated for a return to play on a week-to-week basis.  Hayward's shoulder issue dates back to Nov. 2 when he did not return for the second half of the team's loss to the Chicago Bulls. He then sat out the next eight games with what was deemed a shoulder bruise, before returning on Nov. 18 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  He played in three games, but did not look like himself and also appeared to reinjure the shoulder against the Washington Wizards on Nov. 20. Finally, after a poor outing versus the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 23, in which Hayward finished with seven points and four turnovers on 3-of-10 shooting, the team shut him back down. He did not play in their win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday and it's unclear when he'l...

Cavaliers forward Dean Wade out 3-4 weeks with sprained AC joint in shoulder

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade is out for 3-4 weeks as he recovered from a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder , the team announced Sunday. The injury occurred early in Friday's Cleveland win over the Orlando Magic, and Wade was quickly ruled out from there. Now the Cavaliers will need to move forward without him for the next month or so. While Wade isn't one of Cleveland's big-name stars, he's become an integral role player for one of the Eastern Conference's best teams. When Wade is on the floor, the Cavaliers outscore opponents by 11.6 points per 100 possessions, a figure that dips to 4.3 when he's on the bench.  Wade is shooting a career-best 41.1 percent from deep this season, helping space the floor for a Cavs team that plays two big men as much as any other team in basketball. ...

While the Warriors have not released an official timeline for his return, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that Curry will be sidelined for at least two weeks. Curry will not require surgery and is expected to return to the court in about a month, Charania reported during an appearance on Bally Sports.  ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported  that Curry would miss a few weeks.  Curry left the Warriors' 125-119 loss after hurting his shoulder in the third quarter. On the preceding play, Curry missed a 3-pointer and the long rebound led to a Pacers fast break. As Jalen Smith went to the basket, Curry reached for a steal and hurt his shoulder in the process.  Steph went to the locker room after appearing to injure his left s...

He said he was glad to avoid surgery , which would have kept him out four-to-six months, and does not know if a procedure will eventually be necessary during the offseason.  "From what I know about shoulder injuries and situatio...
