NBA Player Props Today - Best Shaedon Sharpe Props | Pickswise

We have a small 5-Game slate to work with tonight in the NBA with plenty of injury news that has prompted Sportsbooks to lock props for many teams. However, I’ve still managed to find a value spot in the Trail Blazers vs Pacers matchup. The Indiana Pacers rank #1 in the NBA in offensive rating, thanks to the improved roster and superstar leap from point guard Tyrese Haliburton. Defensively, they are inconsistent but should not struggle against the retooling Trail Blazers on the second leg of a back-to-back. Portland’s offensive volume primarily comes from driving and scoring in the paint or the midrange area, and Indiana’s defense ranks above average in both zones.

If the Pacers are to do their job and win as 13-point favorites in this one, the Blazers starting shooting guard is likely also not going to get enough opportunities to warrant 4 assists from Shaedon Sharpe being a good bet. #2 overall pick Scott Henderson is back in the rotation and veteran guard Malcolm Brogdon is expected to start; that is all the information we need. Sharpe has stayed under this line in 5 of his 7 games playing with Henderson and Brogdon; 1 of the misses was in a game where Henderson got hurt, naturally increasing the offensive role for Sharpe.

In Henderson’s first stint with the team (pre-injury), Sharpe averaged only 2.5 assists per Game on 5.0 potential assists per Game while Henderson led the team in potential assists. With the huge spread involved in this Game where Portland had to Travel on no rest, we may see fewer minutes than usual for Sharpe. However, this is a great bet because even if that is not the case, this is good math. Against a Pacers defense that has allowed the sixth-fewest assists per Game overall this season, my 35-minute projection from Sharpe has him at 2.75 assists.
