  • The final round of group-play games in the NBA In-Season Tournament led to some unusual finishes, such as the Celtics keeping their starters in the game late to run up the score on the Bulls in a 124-97 victory that secured their place in the final 8 teams for the knockout stage. The qualifiers in the Eastern Conference were the Bucks, Pacers, Celtics and Knicks, with the Lakers, Kings, Pelicans and Suns advancing in the Western Conference.
  • In the NHL, the Golden Knights lost 5-4 in a shootout to the Oilers in Edmonton, while the Stars beat the Jets 2-0 and the Maple Leafs overcame the Panthers 2-1 in another shootout finish.
