NBA Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers same game parlay picks: 76ers return to winning ways at +689 odds

Two Eastern Conference juggernauts go at it in Philadelphia as the 76ers host the Boston Celtics. These teams actually played each other less than a week ago, it promises to be yet another thrilling encounter tonight in Philly. Tip-off is at 7.30 pm ET on ESPN, I’ve come up with a Same Game Parlay which is available below.

A total of 16 will hit the NBA hardwood this evening, for picks on the side and total for every single game simply visit our NBA Predictions page.

Let’s dive into my bet now!

Philadelphia 76ers ML (+138)

Jaylen Brown to Score 20+ Points (-210)

Jrue Holiday 2+ Made Threes (-110)

Same Game Parlay odds: +689

Philadelphia 76ers ML (+138)

To start off the Parlay I have the 76ers beating the Boston Celtics. Although they just lost last night to Indiana, the odds are just too good to pass up here for a team that’s gone 8-2 to start their season. Philly also beat Boston less than a week ago in this same building 106-103, so they already have an idea what should work here. The big advantage for the 76ers here is Joel Embiid as Boston simply doesn’t have anyone of his size and agility to match-up with him down low.

There are some bad news on the injury front for the Cs here as Kristaps Porzingis is questionable with a knee issue. Without him spreading the floor and forcing Embiid to come out to the 3-point line, the Celtics are losing a valuable piece on offense here. Although Boston is 8-2 SU on the season, they’re a fairly mediocre 3-2 SU in road Games and have covered the spread only once in those 5 outings. In a battle of two Eastern Conference juggernauts, I’m going with the team that’s 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home Games and 6-1 SU in their last 7 vs Eastern Conference opponents.

Wednesday’s NBA Mega Parlay has +792 odds

Jaylen Brown to Score 20+ Points (-210)

Brown has gone over 20 points against Philadelphia on a regular basis – doing so 7 times in the last 9 games against them. He’s averaging 21.9 points a night during that stretch while making 51% of his attempts from the field and 41.7% of his three-point attempts. With the news of Kristaps Porzingis potentially missing tonight’s game, Brown’s numbers should go up as he is the 2nd option behind Jayson Tatum. He’s currently also on a run of 20+ point games in 5 of his last 6 outings, so even if he scored just 11 against Philly in the first meeting of the season, I have confidence in him that he can clear this line here.

Jrue Holiday 2+ Made Threes (-110)

With their point guard Derrick White going just 3-for-12 from the field and scoring 4 and 3 points over his last 2 Games, I think the Celtics will have to put the ball into the hands of Jrue Holiday more here. After all, that’s exactly why they got him. Holiday has played really well in the month of November, he’s knocking down 1.9 threes per Game on over 40% efficiency. His averages have gone up across the board, and they’re only going to get better as time goes on and he gets more acclimated to his new surroundings. Once upon a time Holiday played for the 76ers, he has had some really solid Games against them lately, clearing this line in the last 3 meetings on 60% efficiency from downtown. In the last 9 Games against them he’s averaging 1.8 makes from distance, failing to clear this line only 3 times. Defending the three-ball hasn’t been a specialty for the Sixers so far – they rank just 13th in the NBA allowing teams to shoot 35.2% against them. Although he will spend the majority of the Game trying to contain Maxey, Holiday should be able to get the job done here.
